Privacy Policy

How CAPS Quest handles data.

CAPS Quest is a children’s interactive learning product. Today, CAPS Quest does not require account creation, sign-in, or a user profile database. This page explains the current product state and how to contact us with privacy questions.

Effective date: May 10, 2026

Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to CAPS Quest, the CAPS Quest website, and the CAPS Quest mobile app. CAPS Quest is designed for children, and parents or guardians may contact us on a child’s behalf.

What we do not currently collect

At the current stage of CAPS Quest, we aim to keep data collection minimal.

  • CAPS Quest does not currently require sign-in or account creation.
  • CAPS Quest does not currently maintain a persistent user account database for app players.
  • CAPS Quest does not currently ask children to create public profiles or post public content.
  • CAPS Quest does not currently sell personal information.
  • CAPS Quest does not currently use child player information for advertising or public social features.

What may be stored or processed today

  • Child-entered gameplay items such as local score, preferences, or mission state may be stored on the device itself.
  • If voice is used, audio may be transmitted to our backend and related processing services so the assistant can respond.
  • If someone emails us directly for waitlist or feedback, that email is provided voluntarily by the sender.

What stays on the device

  • Child name, local score progress, assistant choice, and similar gameplay preferences may be stored locally on the device.
  • This local device storage is used only to make the app experience work and feel continuous.

Children’s privacy

CAPS Quest is intended for children, so the current product is intentionally lightweight. We do not ask children to create public profiles, post public content, or sign up for their own accounts inside the learning experience.

Parents or guardians who have questions about data relating to a child can contact us at pankaj@capsquest.com.

Voice and audio data

If a user presses and holds the talk button, audio may be sent to our backend and related processing services so the assistant can respond. This audio is used to generate the response for that interaction. CAPS Quest is not currently structured as a social or public voice-sharing product.

If you do not want voice to be used, you can simply avoid the talk-with-assistant feature and continue using the tap-based mission flow.

How information is used

The limited information involved in the current product is used only to run learning missions, provide assistant responses, preserve local app state, and respond if someone contacts us directly by email.

Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information. CAPS Quest may rely on service providers that help operate the product, such as hosting, app infrastructure, or AI/audio processing services, only as needed to make the product function.

Security

CAPS Quest uses HTTPS and SSL/TLS-protected network connections for app and website traffic. We take reasonable steps to protect information in transit and continue to improve the product’s safeguards as CAPS Quest develops. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices

  • You can choose not to use voice features.
  • You can clear local app data by removing the app or resetting local storage on the device.
  • You can contact us to ask questions about data handling.

Changes to this policy

As CAPS Quest develops, this privacy policy may change to reflect new product features, operational needs, or legal requirements. The latest version will always be posted on this page.
